Jack Dennis Huntsucker, 79, passed peacefully at this home in Spirit Lake, Idaho on April 11, 2018. He was born in Astoria Oregon on Sept. 23, 1938 to Tracy and Laura Maye (Waunch) Huntsucker.
Jack lived in the Toledo-Newport, Oregon area as a child. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960. After his service he worked as a logger in Oregon and was a long-haul truck driver. He drove for EZ Loader for many years with millions of accident free miles.
His #1 passion was picking his guitar and going down memory lane with Merle and Willie. Jack loved hunting, fishing, camping and growing his tomatoes and raspberries. He also had his Skyline Cedar Birdhouse business many of which can still be seen toady. Another passion was working on VW diesel motors. Jack was a man of many talents.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Sonny and Wally Sr.; 2 sisters, Vera Luckinbill and Eulala Woodward.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rebecca Kruger Denton, his 5 children, Shannon, Shane, Shelli (Michael) Lumpkins, Cameron (Alan), Crystal (Matthew) Schumacher and his step son Chad Denton. He will be lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren; Jill and Mason Lumpkins, Emmerick and Gretel Schumacher, Beau, Austin, Josh & Noah Denton. Two great granddaughters Kolby and Dakota. He is also survived by his sister, June Roybul in California, sister-in-law, Maxine Huntsucker, special nephew Wally Hunt, adopted nephew Mark Sinclair and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance Potluck will be held at the Blanchard Grange, 36 Mason Ave. Blanchard, ID on Sunday, April 29th at 1:00 PM.
