Ina Lulu Sams, 78, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away February 17, 2014 at the Hospice House in Hayden, Idaho. Ina was born January 29, 1936 in Sandpoint to Alexander and Lulu (O'Neel) Bocook. She was fifteenth born of eighteen children.
Ina met James Sams while working as a waitress at The Falls Café. They instantly fell in love and were married shortly thereafter on August 28, 1954 in Post Falls. They were married 59 years.
Ina loved and enjoyed being surrounded by her family, or as they were known "her people." She enjoyed Facebook, keeping in touch with family and friends. She liked crocheting, singing, making Seahawks hats and collecting porcelain dolls. Ina was a woman with a compassionate heart, who loved unconditionally, always reaching out to help others.
Ina is survived by her loving husband James Sams of Post Falls; three daughters Rhonda (Marvin) Vig of Post Falls, Cynthia Bocook of Spokane, and Nancy Haller of Coeur d' Alene; four sisters, two brothers; eleven grandchildren Kevin Bocook, Jared Bocook, Brinda (Jamie) Schendel, Robert (Gigi) Draggoo, Nicole Vig, Miranda (Jason) Columbus, Andrew Vig, Jim Haller, Derek (Nicole) Haller, Anna (Richard) Landsiedel, and John Sams; thirteen great-grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Max, James, Lacey, Skyra, Jacan, Isaiah, Mason, Sylas, Austin, Mercedes, and C.J.; one great-great-granddaughter Kasha; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ina was preceded in death by her parents, one son James Sams Jr., four sisters, and seven brothers.
A viewing will be held Friday February 21st, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Bell Tower Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 22, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, Idaho 83854. Burial will be at the Washington's Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington.
