Gerald Gale Carlisle, 72, of Rathdrum, Idaho passed away April 27, 2014 at his home in Rathdrum. Gerald was born March 18, 1942 in Ithaca, New York to Floyd and Issabelle (Eaton) Carlisle.
Gerald proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1963. He was a volunteer fireman in Enfield, New York, and later worked at Dairy Lea Schwans, and his last job was construction. He retired to North Idaho in 1996 to be closer to his children.
He loved the outdoors, gardening and making his own wine. He was a caring and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by three children Rhonda (Adryan) Zwick, Daryl (Christina) Carlisle, and Trent (Sabrina) Carlisle; two sisters Joyce Davis, and Lorraine Jennings; four brothers Robert Carlisle, Larry Carlisle, Michael Carlisle, and Kenneth Carlisle; six grandchildren Nathan, Cathryn, Austin, Dakota, Kaylene, and Emma; and three great-grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents.
