George retired from McDonnell-Douglas (now Boeing) after 30 years of working as an electrical engineer in the aerospace program. He took pride in the fact that he helped develop technology which led to the U.S. sending astronauts to the moon. He witnessed many of the "lift-offs" of his beloved Saturn rockets from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Sondra, of Post Falls, one son, 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, one great-grandson, all of California, nieces and nephews in Illinois and Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, all of Illinois.
He will be missed by the host of friends and former co-workers who were an important part of his life. We can see George now walking the golf course with two of his best friends, Rich & Russ, who also preceded him in death.
Services will be held at a later date in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
