Gary William Rose

May 28, 1964 — October 14, 2023

Post Falls

Gary was born and raised in Spokane, Washington and had stayed close to the area his entire life.

Throughout his years of different labor filled jobs, it became obvious that his true passion for welding would give him great joy.

CXT was the job that lead him to his welding passion. Many friends and great stories come from his years of work there, and became the foundation of his current life.

Gary was also extremely proud of his time as a reserve police officer in Rathdrum, Idaho and spoke of it often.

Another great love was his band Amethyst, which Gary used his talent for writing many of the song lyrics and was the Bass guitar player. Being a child of God, Gary was able to share his love of Christianity to all that enjoyed their music. His great friend and lead singer Mark stayed in close contact through the years and they had been working on new music.

Gary also enjoyed hunting, boating and Bass fishing with his brother in previous years and kept great care of his faithful Silverado pick up.

In 2014, Gary met his loving wife for the first time. They were introduced by Gary’s childhood friend Kathy who also stood with them at their Vegas 2016 wedding.

The couple enjoyed many special evenings watching old scary movies and ghost stories and could never get enough of their favorite Halloween holiday. Comic books and a fun trip to Comicon in Spokane where they met Dirk Benedict and William Shatner together became another bonding memory for the couple.

Gary is survived by his wife Cheryl Rose, daughter Heather Rose, granddaughter Raven Rose, Mother Joyce Rose, Brother Stephan Rose, Sister Deborah Rose-Lane All of Spokane Washington. Sister Franci Lamb, Brother Sean Stevenson, Sister Lori Owens, Sister Jennifer Owens, Brother Nakia Owens.

Gary was preceded in death by his Father Henry Rose in 1996, Brother Ralph R. Rose in 2015, and Brother Christopher Owens.
