Passed away April 23, 2013 after a long courageous battle with Parkinson's and Dementia. He was born February 13, 1939 in Denver Colorado, to Walter Ernest Greene and Gertrude Mabelle Wyant Greene. He leaves behind his loving spouse, Eileen JoAnn Phister Greene and his 6 beloved children... Nadine LeAnn Grace from Clarkston, WA, Tonya Lottie Rigby of Spokane, Nathan Owen Greene of S. Jordan, Utah, Walter Cameron Greene of Seattle, Travis Elliott Greene of Spokane, and Margo Belle Keeney of Spokane.
Graduated H.S. from Grand Junction, Colorado in 57. Made Eagle Scout the same year. Went into the Air Force, where he worked on IBM Machines. In 1963 he joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Went on a mission a year later to Germany. Served in Berlin and Hamburg.
His life's work was varied over the years, and settling into "Appliance Repair" for several years with Montgomery Ward, before going to work for Wagstaff Engineering in the "Tool Room". Retired from there after 18 years. Gary worked as an LDS Temple worker for a few years until Parkinson's became worse.
Gary was a dedicated and loving husband, father and servant of the Lord. He posted this thought on his dresser to read every day to remind him of things he needed to work on. "Count your blessings--not your troubles, talk about the good things of life to others, not your problems, for all have enough to endure. Endeavor to keep your mind and hands busy, with useful work and pleasant thoughts.
