It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Lynn Fullmer, a beloved resident of Liberty Lake, WA. Gary left this world on November 26, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones in the very place he called home. Born on November 4, 1941, in Brawley, CA, Gary was the son of Oscar Carlile Fullmer and Nannie Bessie Harp.
Growing up in Martinez, CA, and Anacortes, WA, Gary's journey through life took him on an incredible path filled with love, faith, and service. As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he dedicated two years of his life embarking on a mission to Great Britain from 1962 to 1964.
On September 14, 1965, Gary took Karen Moore as his bride in a joyous union celebrated in Oakland, CA. Together they would build a life overflowing with love and happiness for nearly six decades.
Answering the call to serve his country, Gary joined the Army in January 1966 and faithfully served until January 1970. Most of his military service was spent stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Gary's commitment to duty and his unwavering dedication were commendable traits that defined him throughout his life.
A true scholar at heart, Gary pursued higher education at BYU where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. His thirst for knowledge and passion for learning were evident in all that he accomplished.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Karen Fullmer of Liberty Lake. His memory will forever remain alive through his children: Gary Jr. (Suzanne) of Washington state, William (Kerry) of Utah, John of Utah, Shannon Quan (Francis) of Utah, Angela Henson (Troy) of Utah, and Ellen Hill of Utah.
He is also survived by his cherished brother Richard Fullmer (Tanya) of Washington State and sister Vicki Muccino of Texas. Gary's legacy extends to his 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 18 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. The impact he had on their lives will be treasured for generations to come.
As we mourn the loss of Gary Lynn Fullmer, let us also celebrate the beautiful life he lived. His kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family will forever be remembered. Gary's warm smile, gentle spirit, and loving heart touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May he rest in eternal peace and may his memory continue to inspire us to live each day with love, grace, and gratitude.
