Gail Gundhild Hagberg, 74, of Hayden, Idaho passed away June 10, 2014 at Ivy Court Retirement Home in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Gail was born June 14, 1939 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho to Alfred and Leona (Spahn) Erickson.
As a child Gail moved with her family to Idaho’s Silver Valley. There she attended school in Kingston and eventually graduated from Kellogg High School in 1958. Gail raised four of her five children in the Silver Valley. She later moved to Coeur d’ Alene in the late 90’s finally settling in Garwood in 2004. She first met Theodore Hahn and they were married in 1958 they later divorced in 1979. She then met Bob Hagberg and they were married in 1980 they were also later divorced. Finally she met Johnny Symons in 2004 who was her companion until her passing.
Gail enjoyed fishing, bingo, crocheting, and going to live auctions.
She is survived by five children Cindi McKinnis of Boise, Idaho, Trent (Leona) Hahn of Osburn, Idaho, Troy (Wendy) Hahn of Post Falls, Idaho, Theresa (Fiancé Ryan) Cahan of Port Hadlock, Washington, and Tina (Kevin) Viche of Kellogg, Idaho; 11 grandchildren Miriam, Sheila, Aaron, Jacob, Jayme, Lucas, Robert, Kirsten, Johnny, Alex, and Daniel; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Alfred (Dorothy) Erickson of Pinehurst, Idaho; one sister Karen Frisbie of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
A potluck celebration of life will be held will be held Saturday June 28th, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Gene Day Park Osburn, Idaho.
