Frederick Michael Sloniker passed away September 30, 2019 in Spokane, Washington. He was born October 9, 1945 in Joplin, Missouri, to Fred and Florence (Johnson) Sloniker. Frederick grew up in both Missouri and Washington states spending most of his life in Washington. He graduated from Sedro Wooley High School in Sedro Wooley, Washington in 1964. Frederick married Glenda Rogers on October 5, 1966 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Sedro Wooley, Washington. In May of 1968, Frederick enlisted in the army and served two years. Frederick was a welder by trade and worked for several companies throughout his working career. Frederick loved horses and took college classes to learn how to shoe them. He loved flying and became a pilot. He loved farming, old movies, reading books, scenic road trips and cooking. When it came to repairs, there really was not much he could not repair. He loved his Catholic faith and remained faithful to it to his dying day. Frederick was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa, his parents, five brothers, one sister and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife Glenda, daughter Rebecca and son- in-law Jason Seligmann, daughter Angela and son-in-law Arthur Siffrin, son Eric, son Brian and daughter-in-law Jennifer, daughter Teresa and son-in-law Gary Westenberger, son Aaron and daughter-in-law Janine, son Mark and daughter-in-law Kezia, daughter Laura and son-in-law Aaron Rios, daughter Maria Rhoads, son Kevin, son Paul, twenty-two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, eight sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews. Location for rosary and funeral Mass: Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 614 E. 5 th Avenue, Post Falls, Idaho 83854. Rosary is Sunday, October 6, at 5:30 PM. Funeral Mass is Monday, October 7, at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Post Falls, Idaho. A reception will follow back at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
