Fred Ernest Taylor

October 1, 1939 — June 4, 2016

Fred Ernest Taylor II, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Life Care Center of Post Falls. Loving father of Fred E. “Trey” Taylor III, John Jay Taylor, Don E. Taylor, Sam (Theresa) Sax, Shi (Javier) Feliciano, and Srae (Rich) Christensen. Proud grandfather of Ladonna Lea Ann Taylor, Elyssa Sax, Jordan Christensen, Jacob Sax, Jeff Christensen, Devin Taylor, Grace Feliciano, and Zeke Feliciano. Thrilled great-grandpa of Bradly, Traelin, and Sophya. Fred is also survived by his brother, Ronnie Taylor. Just before his death, Fred was able to spend a beautiful summer afternoon with his dearest friend, Harriett. Fred was preceded in death by his father, Fred Ernest Taylor, his mother Margie Taylor and his brother, Donnie Taylor. After serving in Korea in the United States Air Force, Fred spent his adult working life in sales. Fred, hailed from Memphis, TN, and his sales career took him all over the United States, from Scottsdale, AZ, to the Ozarks of Missouri, to Myrtle Beach, SC. He loved Arizona and looked upon his years there as some of the best of his life. Freddie was a fun-loving father and friend. He knew how to have a good time but was the first one there if you needed anything. He loved sports and could answer just about any question on any sport. He loved the Arizona Cardinals, but after he retired to the Inland Northwest, he also rooted for his adopted team, the Seattle Seahawks. Fred could win at pool, golf, horseshoes, cards . . . he was a natural. He was a great dancer and was always the life of the party. Fred had been battling health problems for several months but he kept his spirits up and with his jokes and smiles kept the spirits up of all those around him. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, caregivers, and staff at Life Care Center for taking such good care of our father. He loved you all and appreciated all you did for him. The family would like to think that Fred was excited to get to heaven to see his friends and family who got there before him and get the chance to say, “Hello,” to one of his idols, Mr. Ali. The family gathered from all over the country this past February to celebrate Fred’s life and spend time with him. No other services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
