Edward "Art" Dollard took his Lord And Savior's hand on June 18, 2012. He was born on May 16, 1943 in Lander, Wyoming to James "Bud" and Katherine Dollard.
Art served proudly in the US Navy aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard from 1963 to 1967. Art loved his hometown of Lander and became a police officer for few years before he decided to strike it rich as a successful entrepreneur in the nightclub and restaurant business.
When he had accomplished all he wanted there, Art moved his wife and children to the Coeur d' Alene, Idaho area and went to work for the Department of Defense at the David Taylor Research Center in Bayview, Id. Art worked there for almost twenty years before retiring in 2006.
Art had a passion for horses and ranching in his younger years. He loved all things related to fast cars and did some racing as a sprint car driver. He was an avid boater and loved cruising Pend Oreille Lake. He was extremely proud of being a veteran and of his Native American heritage. He will be most remembered by all who knew him as great story teller.
