Born August 11, 1953 to Richard and Rayma McPeak in Kellogg, ID. Duane loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He started golfing and caddying at the young age of 8 years. Some of the best memories of Duane were the camping excursions shared with family and friends.
Duane graduated from Everett (WA) High School. He worked for Bunker Hill, US Forest Service, then learned to be a master painter, a profession he excelled in until he could no longer work.
Duane is survived by his beloved wife Deborah Payne McPeak. Together they raised 3 awesome sons; Mathew David McPeak, Lucas Norman Richard McPeak (Felicia) and Marcus Allen McPeak (Amburr). He also leaves behind 2 Grandaughters- Isabella Rose McPeak and Olivia Charlotte McPeak. 3 Brothers; Don, Bernie and Jeff as well as 2 sisters, Donna and Paula. Duane was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Rayma McPeak.
Duane will be missed and remembered for his dry sense of humor. He enjoyed the company of good friends and a sip of beer. Karaoke, bowling and shooting pool were some things he liked to do.
Duane fought a long and courageous battle until the end.
Remembrances can be made to the family (Deborah McPeak) to help offset some of the expenses during Duane's illness or to your favorite charity.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, Idaho 83854. Following the service a potluck will be held at the Shady Rest 14567 Hwy 53, Rathdrum, ID 83858.
