Dixie Lee Baldwin, 70, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho passed away October 8, 2016 at her home. Dixie was born February 7, 1946 in Fedora, South Dakota to Robert and Leora (Pooly) Dahms.
As a child Dixie moved with her family to Sylmar, California where she spent the rest of her adolescence. There she met John Joseph Baldwin through a friend. They were later married April 27, 1963 in St. George, Utah. They were married 41 years when Dixie passed.
She enjoyed crocheting, flower and vegetable gardening, camping on the North Fork of the Coeur d’ Alene River, but mostly she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will remember her as G.G.
Dixie is survived by her loving husband John of the family home in Coeur d’ Alene; three children James Randolph Baldwin of Greyland, Washington, Candie Ann (Sandon) McFarland of Post Falls, Idaho, and Michelle Marie (Brandon) Studebaker of Rathdrum, Idaho; two stepchildren Mckenna Francis (Brian) Everett of Rathdrum, Idaho and John Robert Baldwin of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; one sister, Donna Webb, three stepbrothers Greg Lawrence of Mazatlan, Mexico, Randy Lawrence of California, and Bobby Dahms of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; one stepsister Kathy Olson of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Dianne McComb.
A Celebration of Dixie’s Life will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Prairie Avenue Community Church 3639 W. Prairie Ave. Hayden, ID.
