Delores Elaine Sellen, 73, of Athol, Idaho passed away August 18, 2015. Delores was born September 1, 1941 in Theif River Falls, Minnesota to John and Bernice (Land) Swenson. Delores grew up in Newfolden, Minnesota where she attended and graduated from High School in 1959. She then went on to trade school learning secretarial work. While working as a secretary for a trucking company Delores met Roger Sellen, who was working as a truck driver. They quickly fell in love and were married three months later on October 3, 1969 in Newfolden, Minnesota. They were married 45 years when she passed. Together they moved their family to Cody, Wyoming in 1979 where Delores worked at the local Hospital. Later they moved to Colorado first living in West Cliff, and then Eagle in 1988, before moving back to Buffalo, Wyoming. There she worked as a bookkeeper for the family trucking business, and finally as a Bank Teller. They eventually moved to North Idaho settling in Athol to be near her family. She was a member of the Valley Baptist Church in Priest River and was very active with the church ladies. She enjoyed baking, raising a vegetable garden and sewing quilts for her family. She is survived by her loving husband Roger of the family home in Athol, Idaho; two daughters Reeva (Neil) Paskewitz of Athol, Idaho, and Brenda (Steve) Simmons of Billings, Montana; seven grandchildren Jeremiah, Ingrid, Josie, Jack, Jenna, Jillian and Hailey & (Donna Bowling – Hailey’s Mom); three great-grandchildren Noah, Jossalyn, and Kensington; three brothers Don (Loretta) Swenson of Medford, Oregon, Jerry (Kathy) Swenson of Roseau, Minnesota, and Jon (Colleen) Swenson of Windom, Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Brent in 2002. A celebration of Delores's life will be held at a later date.
