Delores Joyce (Dee) Mulloy, 85, of Spokane Valley passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2018. She was born April 22, 1933 in Sultan, WA to Gottlieb and Martha (Wiersch) Neiffer. Dee lived most of her life in Snohomish and Everett, WA. In 2000, she relocated to the Spokane Valley to be closer to her grandchildren.
She married Robert V. Mulloy on May 14, 1955 in Snohomish, WA and divorced in 1970.
One of Dee’s early occupations was telephone operator. After raising her children, she started working at Snohomish County Head Start and attended Everett Community College and Western Washington State College. She finished her social services career at Service Alternatives as an advocate for developmentally challenged adults.
Dee enjoyed playing cards with friends on Saturday afternoons, gardening, reading, puzzles, baking, decorating for the holidays and shopping. She was a member of the Evergreen Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was lovingly cared for by many friends there. She also enjoyed the friendship of her loving children who visited her often.
She is survived by her children Dianne Mulloy of Layton, UT; Anne Borges of Liberty Lake; and Joanne Mulloy of Lynnwood, WA. James (Holly) Mulloy of St. George, UT; She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Sean Mulloy and two brothers, Clifford and Richard Neiffer.
She leaves 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest where a room in sponsored in her honor.
Viewing will be held at 12pm and services at 1pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the LDS Evergreen Building, 14111 East 16th Avenue, Spokane Valley.
