Delmer Romberg

March 22, 1946 — February 5, 2013

Delmer "Del" Wayne Romberg (66) of Heyburn, Idaho passed away February 5, 2013 in Post Falls, ID. He was born March 22, 1946 in Artesia, California to Nelson and Johanna Romberg. He grew up and attended school in Paramount CA. He had the love of his life, Alice Leno Romberg, by his side along with his daughter, Nancy Clark and his grandchildren as he took his last breaths. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer December 26th and his final wishes were to spend his remaining time with his grandchildren who he adored so much. They were his life and he looked forward to every opportunity to tease them and then BBQ ribs and hot-wings for them. He was the best cook!! Del loved to fish and remembered all the times he would go on the ½ day boat fishing trips with his parents. He passed that love down to his children and his grandchildren. He was a very hard worker and put that value to the test by operating his own dairy. After he got out of the dairy business, he hauled sheep, worked in the pit mines and finished his career long haul trucking. He was quite the collector, and didn't like any of us touching all of his "treasures," that we all knew he would never use. Del is survived by his wife of 28 years, Alice Faye, his 2 sons, Jason Romberg and Ben Leno. His 2 daughters, Julie Romberg and Nancy Clark, grandchildren Radley, Renden, Rhogen, Raeff, Alicen, Abigal, Hannah and Gage and one great grandson, Ezra Stone. The memories will live on forever, good times and trying times, but the one thing that we will never question is the love he had for each of us. He had so many friends he loved to be with and was a very generous person with a huge heart. .Del left 5 siblings, sisters, Nelva, Long Beach, CA. Janice, Chandler MN, and Debbie, Bellflower, CA. 2 brothers, Gene, Corona, CA and Jerry, Beaumont, CA. Del was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson and Johanna Romberg from Paramount, CA. Also many nieces and nephews. God Bless Delmer on his journey. Thank you everyone, from all of us. Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls @ 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, Alice would like plants for a remembrance garden. Please leave a message/memory on Del's online memorial page at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
