David George Vandenheuvel

September 2, 1970 — June 12, 2017

David “Dave” George VanDenHeuvel, 46, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away June 12, 2017 at Kootenia Health in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  Dave was born September 2, 1970 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Ronald and Linda (Mulree) VanDenHeuvel.

Dave grew up in Wisconsin where he graduated from Mishicot High School in 1988.  He later attended UW River Falls, and Madison Area Technical College.

After college Dave moved to North Idaho.  Here he worked as a logger, owned and operated Wyde Open Tree Service, and later he was “The Best Damn Rock Salesman in the World” for Sunrise Trucking.

Dave met Tina Hawks, in July 2011, and they were later married August 18, 2012 on a beautiful mountain in Harrison, Idaho.

He loved all the outdoors has to offer, including hunting, fishing, and his annual St. Joe rally with “The Boys.” Dave will be remembered as an honest fun loving, wordsmith who was always full of life.

He is survived by his loving wife Tina VanDenHeuvel of the family home in Post Falls, Idaho; his father Ronald (Sherry Kendall) VanDenHeuvel of Ellijay, Georgia; his sister Nikki (Wes) Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; his nephew Wyatt Johnson; his niece Mesa Johnson; his grandmother Arleen Mulree of Lady Lake, Florida and other loving family members too numerous to count.  Dave was preceded in death by his mother and his Uncle David VanDenHeuvel.
