David Michael Gama, our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, fell asleep in the Lord on November 19, 2022. Though he had been ill for some time, his death was unexpected.
David was born on May 22, 1987 in Orange, California, and was 35 years old.
Because he had traveled extensively throughout the United States, David made and had friends from all over the country. He enjoyed his friends greatly and was deeply loyal to them.
David was raised in rural Oregon with his older brother and sister, Jordan and Jessica, as well as with his New Zealand cousin, Hagen Logue.
Growing up, David loved and excelled in basketball, doing his artwork and creating logos and designs for various companies and apparel.
Perhaps the deepest joy that David experienced here in this life was his great love for all his 13 nephews and nieces that loved him deeply and never tired of “Uncle D” and all the attention and fun he lavished upon them.
David most recently worked as a server at Texas Roadhouse in CDA, where he loved both his fellow “Roadie” team members and their many guests.
David embraced and retained a deep faith in Our Lord, even through all the challenges and difficulties that life presents.
With David’s passing an important part of our world has gone dark. It will only shine again in the light of the resurrection when every tear shall be wiped away.
David’s Catholic funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 AM
