David H. Fisher, 70, of Hayden, Idaho passed away February 6, 2014 at his home. David was born November 11, 1943 in Hastings, Michigan to Emory and Ruthmary (Bliss) Fisher. David attended and graduated from Hastings High School in 1961. He later went on to Pierce College where he earned an associate degree.
David met the love of his life Margaret "Martie" Ann Askey and they were later married August 24, 1972 Reno, Nevada they were together 42 years when David passed.
David joined the United States Navy and served for 4 years known as the "Kiddie cruise". After his honorable discharge he had many jobs including a splicer for a phone company, working as a deputy for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, data systems specialist/supervisor of air traffic controller for fourteen years at the Burbank Airport in California, he had worked in construction, as a hard rock miner for three years in Idaho's Silver Valley, and in real estate sales for seven years, and later owned and operated the Appraisal Desk in Hayden, Idaho for twenty years.
He will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and friend. David was an excellent craftsman making various crafts for his friends and family, and was a great man of wisdom.
David is survived by his loving wife Martie of the family home in Hayden, Idaho; five children Rick McGee of Eagle, Idaho, Ken and Carla Payton of Agate, Colorado, Julie Fisher of Spokane Valley, Washington, Michael Fisher of Hayden, Idaho, and Justin Fisher of Hayden, Idaho; and his horse Flint.
