Daniel Burton Morrill, 73
Daniel "Don Juan" Morrill passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, July 9th in Post falls Idaho.
He was born in Long Beach, California on December 29th,1948 to Ronald and Donna Morrill.
Being in a military family he traveled to many places and one of his favorites was Okinawa.
He continued a military life serving two active duty tours in Vietnam with the Army Corps of Engineers.
After a safe return he married the love of his life, Susan "Trudy" Morrill.
They moved from California to Northern Idaho in 1978. There, he found his dream job working for the Bayview Naval Base as a boat operator and engineer. He retired after 25 years.
If you knew Dan, there were some things he made clear. He had pure love and loyalty for his country and those of service. He was a true patriot.
He also had an undying love for his family and friends.
He enjoyed riding his Harley and tinkering with his race cars and projects.
His patriotism continued throughout his life with his dedication and active participation in the Patriot Guard and the Combat Vet Riders motorcycle club.
Dan is survived by his wife, Trudy Morrill, his daughters Rebecca Georgius and Carrie Morrill, his grandson Kody Kielblock, granddaughter Kassie Kielblock, siblings Dave Morrill (& spouse Wanda Morrill), Doug Morrill (& spouse Stacy Morrill) and Diana and Gary Clinton as well as many nieces and nephews.
His family requests any donations be made in his name to the nonprofit One More Time NW or Newby-ginnings Of North Idaho.
A celebratory memorial will be held on Friday, September 23rd from 2pm-4pm at the Belltower Funeral Home, 3398 E Janalan Ave, Post Falls, Id. 83854
In support of his service, patriotic colors for dress would be appreciated but not required.
