It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charolyn Ann Murphy of Rathdrum, Idaho on April 7, 2025 at the age of 84. She passed peacefully, surrounded with love by her family.
Charolyn was born January 01, 1941, in Ventura, CA., and lived in the Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and Rathdrum areas with her family for over 58 years. She met her beloved husband Ronald Murphy and married in 1959, having been together for 66 years as of this year. She was known for her uplifting humor, fiery will, determination, spunk, and for her unwavering love and support for her family and community. Throughout their years together, Charolyn and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting many of the local area lakes and mountains with their family. She was an avid reader, gardener, texter, solitaire player, and baker. She loved to crochet many Afghan blankets, baby blankets, and clothing for all generations of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Murphy; son Charles Murphy; daughter Cindy Harken; daughter-in-law Loida Murphy; son-in-law Kevin Harken; grandchildren Tristan Harken, Sierra Harken, Andrew Murphy, and Kyle Murphy; and great-grandchildren Alex Harken, Jaxson Murphy, Tili Murphy, and Arya Murphy.
