Charles Leroy Snyder

CHARLES LEROY SNYDER, JR. (1958-2019)

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles Leroy Snyder, Jr. announces his passing after a brief battle with cancer.  He passed away on December 10, 2019, at the age of 61 years.  Charles, known to his friends and family as “Charley,” was born on May 23, 1958, in Ogden, Utah to Charles and Betty Lou (Collier) Snyder.  He spent most of his early years in Hutchinson, Kansas and moved to Rexburg, Idaho after turning 18.  He moved to Rathdrum, Idaho in recent years and worked for Coeur d’ Alene Paving as a truck driver until his cancer diagnosis in May 2019.  He then moved to Spirit Lake to be cared for by his family.  Charley was preceded in death by this mother, Betty Lou Collier, and his younger sister, Heather Ann (Snyder) Blake.  He is survived by his father, Charles (Patricia) Snyder; his sister, Katherine Langley; his brother, Jesse Snyder, and numerous well-loved nieces and nephews.  Charley will be fondly remembered for his love of the outdoors (hunting, camping and fishing), his love of cooking and grilling, and for his wonderful storytelling abilities.
