Carol Marie Packham a resident of Rathdrum, Idaho passed away at the Schneidmiller House, a Hospice of North Idaho facility, from natural causes on Memorial Day May 30, 2022.
Carol was born the 2nd child in a family of four to Melvin Howard Wright and Rella Maxine Gwilliam Wright in Baker Oregon on August 19, 1939. She was a happy child and loved life and living. She was known for her contagious laugh and humble testimony for her love of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carol attended elementary school in Baker and the first three years of high school in La Grand Oregon but graduated from Baker High School in 1957. She met and married Morgan Paul Budge in August of 1958 and to that union was born her four devoted children, Kelly Craig, Paul Christian, Dayna Lynn, and James Duane. Her early married life found her as a wonderful, loving, stay at home mom teaching her children about life and living. After her family was mostly grown she worked as a receptionist for several dentist and doctors in the different places she lived. Her marriage to Paul ended in divorce in 2005.
In 2008, she and an old friend, Charles H. Packham, reconnected though what we believe to have been “Devine intervention”. She and Chuck were married in Rathdrum, Idaho on August 9, 2008. They were sealed in the Twin Falls Idaho Temple on April 23, 2010. These two have been so devoted to each other and an example of unconditional love.
Carol loved to paint, dance, embroidery, play on her organ and be wherever her family happen to be. Each member of her family was her favorite. Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served her Heavenly Father and her fellow man with pure love and devotion.
