With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Candi Ray Christensen (Bird), 40, of Post Falls, Idaho, who passed away on February 2, 2023. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on September 20, 1982. She was the second child of Kenneth Ray Christensen and Pamela Mitchell (Long). She grew up in Shelley and graduated from Shelley High School in 2000. Soon after graduation she was married and became a mother to 5 beautiful children. Candi had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She had many hobbies and talents. She loved to cook, bake, craft, play the piano, camp, read, and work on the ranch. She was a fierce advocate for her children and was involved with non-profit organizations for children with disabilities. Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother, a job that she loved and was dedicated to. Candi was survived by her children, Cayge, Icelynn, Shylee, Ivory, and Kenasyn; parents, Ken Christensen and Pamela Mitchell; former husband, Rayce Bird; fiancé, Travis Delaney; grandparents, Ray and Nina Christensen; sister, Genice Waite (Zac); half-sisters Danyelle Hatch (Michael), Stephanie Hansen (Cody), Monica Mitchell, Rachel Mitchell, Karlee Baur (Zac); half-brothers Casey Christensen (Kristie), John Christensen and countless friends and family. Funeral services will be held at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave, Idaho Falls at 11:00 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 10:50 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Candi’s funeral fund via Venmo @Kenneth Christensen-30. The funeral services will be live-streamed at woodfuneralhome.com
