Our dear mother, Betty Marie (Wolfe) Beltz, passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of
90, after several months of declining health; even so, she was in good spirits to the end. She
was born June 6, 1933, in Bowling Green, Ohio, the daughter of the late Howard and Waneta
Wolfe. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Lee. She is survived by her three
daughters and son and their families: Karen (Richard) Klein, Kathy (Darrell) Davis, Richard Lee,
and Teresa (James) Neal. Betty was “Grammy” to eight grandchildren: Christina Carr, Daniel Lee
II, Laura Goldwire, Jennifer Klein, Elizabeth Klein, Chad Neal, Kyle Neal, Alyse Neal Baughan, and
five great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Betty was born and raised in Ohio, lived 15 years in Kentucky, and 30 years in California. She
enjoyed the last 30 years of her life in Idaho. Betty’s family was everything to her, and she loved
keeping in touch with regular phone calls to her siblings, children, and extended family across
the country. Betty’s relationship with Jesus was an important and constant part of her life. She
would end every phone call with “I love you, and Jesus loves you.” She loved nature and
growing things. She had a green thumb, as her house plants would always show. She was a
trained florist and loved arranging flowers, and she was very proud of the years she worked for
the Forestry Service.
Betty was one of eleven siblings; preceding her in death were Harvey Wolfe, Eugene (Joy)
Wolfe, Donald (Delores) Wolfe, Roland (Janet) Wolfe, Howard Thomas (Lorraine) Wolfe, Patricia
Ann Wolfe (Jack) Byer, and Lola Pearl Wolfe. She is survived by Robyn Lee (Bob) Frazier, Robin
Inez (Samuel) Townsend, and Bonnie Lou (Myron) Straka.
For all those whose lives she touched and whom she loved, please join us in celebrating her life
