However, later in life, she also held various positions that allowed her to continue serving others. She worked at Yogurt Plus in the Lewis County Mall and served as an Administrative/Teacher's Aide in the Adna School District. In addition to shouldering these responsibilities, she served as RS president in their ward—a testimony to her unwavering dedication to serving others. With a perpetual smile adorning her face, Barbara embodied Christlike love and service.
Beyond kindness, Barbara possessed a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. She had a talent for making others laugh and enjoyed engaging friends in long phone conversations. On hot days, she would often instigate water fights—a testament to an adventurous spirit and a willingness to embrace simple pleasures.
Sewing was one of Barbara's cherished hobbies; she lovingly made clothes for her family. Her skill extended to the art of quilting, and each grandchild was gifted with a hand-quilted baby quilt. Additionally, she found solace and delight in reading, with Jane Eyre holding a special place in her heart. Shopping trips and cherished moments spent with family completed her list of hobbies and interests. Above all, Barbara took immense pride in her family and worked tirelessly to create a happy and nurturing home that would shape her children's lives.
