Andrea (Andi) was born on July 26th 1969, to Robert and Betty Anderson of Mone Vista, Colorado. Andi was the youngest of their 6 children including Brothers Mike and Pete and Sisters Linda, Susan, and Nancy. At only 15 years old Andi lost her mother due to illness. After moving around and living with whichever sibling she could, Andi eventually graduated from Eisenhower High School in Yakima, WA. After high school she lived on her own before her decision to go to college. She attended Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho for three years and graduated with two Associates Degrees, one in Criminal Justice, and one in Law Enforcement. After graduation, she moved back in with her sister Linda in the Salem, Oregon area where she started working as a caregiver for individuals with developmental disabilities. She always wanted to help those who had a hard time helping themselves and showed so much compassion while doing it. In 1991 her first son Jacob was born and from then on she dedicated all she had to being a mother. In 1993 Andi again relocated to Spokane, WA where she met her husband Todd Maughan. They were married on August 28th, 1993. Over the years they had 5 more children, Alexandria (1996), Andru (1997), Charlotte (2004), Samantha (2006) and finally Maxwell (2007). In August of 2008 Todd and Andi took their family to the Spokane, Washington Temple and were sealed for time and all eternity as a family. In November of the same year Andi was diagnosed with breast cancer and began her almost 7 year battle with this disease. The cancer eventually spread to her liver and then in May of 2015 tumors began to form in her brain. Andi was strong and battled hard until on August 16th 2015 she was finally freed from her pain and was able to go to live with her parents in heaven. Andi will be missed by her husband and 6 children until once again they are reunited as an eternal family in the glory of heaven. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 ~ 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 14111 E. 16th Ave. Spokane Valley, WA with a visitation at 1:00 pm.
