Lester “Allen” Marsh, Jr., loving husband, father, grandpa, and teacher moved to his eternal home on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the age of 84 in his home, Garden Plaza at Post Falls, ID. Allen was born May 3, 1938, in Longview, WA to Lester and Bernis (Thorp) Marsh.
A 1956 graduate of Ballard High School, WA, Allen continued his education with several degrees in education and Christian ministry. He lived out this desire by volunteering as a teacher and in other church and community roles through the years. Allen never stopped giving his everything to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. He is fondly remembered for wrestling on the floor with the children, for extensive and expressive reading with his family, and for tireless advocacy of religious and social issues in church and the community.
Allen is survived by his wife of 4 years, Gale Berner Marsh; Allen and Gale cherished their Christian union and embraced their joyful life together at the Garden Plaza. He was very involved in leading activities at the Plaza, loved by all. Allen is also survived by his siblings Marie Crisman, Merrie Smith, Alger Marsh, and Kathleen Labay; his daughter Deborah Carter (Don); his son David Marsh (Kristina); and four grandchildren.
