Albina Victoria Basso

Albina “Bea / Bebe” Victoria (Pano) Basso 93 passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. She resided at the Lodge in Post Falls, Idaho. She passed away of Advanced Dementia. Bea was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Fred and Rosana Pano and was an only child. Bea was very intelligent and graduated High School at 15 having skipped several grades. She had a creative and artistic side, painting some beautiful water colors and charcoals. She had a forte for decorating her home. She became an excellent seamstress. Bea was outgoing, friendly and “the life of the party” with a warmth, kindness and love for all ! Bea married her next door neighbor, Orest Basso at 19 in Providence, Rhode Island, and enjoyed his large family of 10 brothers and sisters. She had two children, Joyce and Steve. When Joyce was 6 months old, they moved to California and then Steve was born in Encino, Ca. She loved her children with all her heart as well as all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Orest and Bea were married 75 years. Orest cared for Bea until an illness later incapacitated him. Sarah Basso of Coeur d’ Alene cared for our Mom until Sarah fell ill with Cancer. Bea went to work at Rocketdyne (Boeing) as a Compuer Assisted Analyst and became a pioneer in the start up of their Computer systems. She trained employees on the various systems implemented. Bea was revered by her peers and superiors. She is survived by her husband, Orest Basso, 97, her daughter, Joyce, and her husband, Barry Gunnarson, and her son, Steve Basso. Her grandchildren, MaryAnn, Melissa, Elizabeth, Mark and her 7 great grandchildren.
