Chris was born Christine Lynn Martin in Glendale, California September 15, 1944. Her parents were Harold Lynn Martin and Anna Helen (Seibert) Martin. Chris was named Lynn from her Father and Christine from her Grand Mother Christina Seibert.

Chris had two brothers, Gary Lee Martin and John V. Martin. Her parents and Gary are buried in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills, California. Her brother John is interred in the National Veterans Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. Christine will be interred on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17th 2018 at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery with her Parents and Brother Gary. And later husband Dan. Christine married Danny (Dan) Kaye Paschall 54 years ago in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had one Child, Sean Patrick Paschall. Sean got his middle name from one of Chris’s favorite days, St. Patrick’s Day. Sean and his wife Suzan gave her four grandsons and one great grandson, Liam, and another great grandchild is on the way. Chris and Dan exchanged their wedding vows again years later and Sean was Dan’s Best Man at the Wedding.

Christine worked a variety of professional positions over the years to help support the family but mostly she was a stay at home Mom in order to raise Sean. Her last positions were at the National Science Teachers Association in Washington D.C. and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA), also in WDC. She was the Executive Admin. for the NFLPA National Executive Director, Gene Upshaw. Gene went on record in a televised press conference that Chris knew more about football than half the football coaches and most of the players in the NFL. And he was correct!

Chris was also an in-home Teacher, Tutor and Coach for injured/disabled children in their homes and she was also a Foster Mom for kids in need. She was active in politics as an organizer in political campaigns contributing to the successful election for a LA City Councilwoman, a successful LA Mayor’s election, a State Organizer for a U.S. Senator’s election to Congress. She later worked various positions on the “Hill’ in WDC. She was greatly admired for her sense of humor, her laughter and razor-sharp wit.

Chris was a real “Valley Girl” having been raised in the San Fernando Valley in North Los Angeles, CA. After Dan and Chris were married and after Dan completed his education and training they relocated multiple times due to Dan’s professional positions finally retiring to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Christine supported many charities over the years, but she favored Doctors Without Borders.
