Luther Edward Quigley

December 29, 1930 — March 10, 2017

Luther Edward Quigley, 86 of Cocolalla, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 surrounded by his family at the Hospice House in Hayden, Idaho. Born in Lexington, MO to Luther and Juanita Quigley. He was a resident of Cocolalla, Idaho for many years until later he moved to Post Falls, Idaho in 2013. Luther had a very interesting life. He was a soda jerk, bowling pin setter, shoe shiner, worked on a dairy farm, drove a team of horses, was an Eagle Scout, and a Golden Glove Champion all before the age of 14. He was a diver tender, firefighter, and auctioneer, worked on the Hoover Dam, Libby Dam, Grand Coulee Dam as well as blowing out train tunnels in the mountains of Montana. His passions were his coon dogs, mules and hunting. He owned Tri Con Bolt for the last 40 years in Colcolalla, Idaho. He serviced many farmers in the N.W. making many friends along the way. He was a true salesman. He built his first home at 18 and his home in Cocolalla, Idaho. He is survived by his wife Ellen Quigley of 54 years, his brother George, his children Bob, Mike, Mark, Scott, Prior, Jan, Shane, Pete, Heidi, Juanita, Linda, Shelly, Shawna, Sheryl, Debbie and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Luther Sr., mother Juanita, sister Alma and daughter Sarah. He will be missed by all. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, ID.
