Maureen Diane Little, 70, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away April 29, 2016 at her home. Maureen was born March 25, 1946 in Long Beach, California to John and Alberta (Dennis) Dickison while in route to Washington D.C. As a Navy brat Maureen moved and lived in various places throughout the United States eventually ending up in Hawthorne, Nevada. There she attended and graduated from High School in 1962. Maureen met John Little and they quickly became high school sweethearts and were married September 4, 1961 in Hawthorne, Nevada. They were married 55 years when Maureen passed. Maureen worked for 27 years running the Liquor Store in Post Falls, until her retirement. Maureen was a member of the Kai Beta Phi sisterhood, and also worked as a volunteer at the Hospice Thrift Store. She loved to fly and earned her pilot's license in 1975. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, finding and collecting rocks, bargain shopping, but mostly she loved spending time with her family, including her grand dogs. She is survived by her loving husband John Little of the family home in Post Falls, Idaho; three children John Little Jr. of Oak Harbor, Washington, Robert (Jayne) Little of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; Susan (Larry) Royston of Athol, Idaho; her adopted son Tom (Kim) Sorci of Oregon; two brothers Tom Dickison of Hawthorne, Nevada, and Richard (Naoko) Dickison of Oahu, Hawaii; three sisters Lori Vicari of Bothell, Washington, Sheri (Dan) Johnson of Poulsbo, Washington, and Robin (Duke) Collins of Middleburg, Florida; six grandchildren Taylor, Haylee, Raechel, Angelene, Samantha, and Michael; seven great-grandchildren Ava, Colton, Lindsey, Landen, Ryann, Hazel Maureen, and Frankie. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of Maureen's life will be held Monday May 16, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Bell Tower Funeral Home 3398 E. Jenalan Ave. Post Falls, Idaho 84854. The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of North Idaho at 9493 N. Government Way Hayden, Idaho 83835, or to the Abused Women's Shelter at 850 N. 4th, St. Coeur d' Alene, Idaho 83814.
