Stanley Harris

d. March 8, 2011

Stan Harris was born in Seattle, Washington on January 31, 1943 to Edith (formerly Gartrel) and Edward Harris. He grew up in Issaquah Washington and was the eldest of three sons. Upon graduation from Issaquah High School in 1962 Stan joined the National Guard and served for six years. Stan met and married Sharon Weber in 1965. Their only child, Shannon Harris, was born the following year in 1966. They resided in the Seattle area for the next 34 years. Stan made his living as a carpenter which perfectly suited his love for being outdoors, but his passion was the game of golf and he could be found on the course, especially Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course, every opportunity he got. Stan and Sharon relocated to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in 2000 where he worked for Greenstone Homes until 2008 before retiring to spend more time enjoying his lifelong love of golf. His friends and acquaintances will best remember Stan for his friendly outgoing personality and his willingness to always lend a hand to help a friend. Stan enjoyed meeting new people and always had a ready joke or a funny story to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and the golf greens will be a little duller place without his presence. Stan is survived by his wife Sharon and daughter Shannon. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Harris. He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Doug Harris. At Stan's request there will be no services on his behalf but stories and messages can be written on his dedicated web page at belltowerfuneralhome.com The family asks that any donations be made to your local Humane Society. Bell Tower Funeral Home & Crematory, Post Falls, in care of arrangements.
